Recreate, Improvise, or Compose
If a participant is recreating music, he or she is essentially taking lessons and learning the technicalities. In improvisation, the participant would compose a rhythm based on their emotions, events, or situations which are brought up during a Class. Music has been shown to affect portions of the brain. Part of this class is the ability of music to affect emotions and social interactions.
Rhythm classes are designed to:
Promote wellness, express feelings, enhance memory, alleviate pain, enhance socialization, enhance motor skills, decrease in depression, promote physical rehabilitation, build self-esteem, reduction in anxiety, improve communication, and manage stress.
Feel great and Have fun
Rhythm is associated with an improved mood, and a, expression of feelings, awareness and responsiveness, positive associations, and, positive effect on social and behavioral outcomes and showed some encouraging trends with respect to mood.
